Any ideas for a theme for the skits?
The Rogers Family will plan an obstacle course/relay for adults and teenagers in the afternoon.
So, just to clarify...do we plan the meal, buy the food/supplies and have a budget or do we just sign up to prepare the meal and you provide menu?
Theme ideas for skits....Disney movies, song titles, brown bag it(this is where you pass out brown bags full of props and the group given them makes up what they can)
Howards favorites... Tom/Peggy's
songs they used to sing acted out!
(teddy bears picnic, mr. conductor, little red ford.
I think Brown Bag it, that way we can use stuff we already brought with us ? What does everyone else think??
Kelli, thanks for taking care of the relay race. I'll put that on the schedule for Friday afternoon.
I'll email you about the food too.
I love the brown bag idea. lets them have their creative flow. if anyone needs help with any games or anything, let me know. I'm flexible.
I can help prepare meals if needed!
I was talking with Jessica the other day and she mentioned it would be cute to dress up the kids as teddy bears for a skit about the teddy bears picnic. I'll try and find a recording of it. I have a vinyl record of it but I don't have a turn table anymore, lol so many of you might not even know what that is! Then also the song that my dad used to sing about the little red ford, she said the kids could dress up as the things in the song that are added to the song or maybe parts of a car and little girls with a flower in a hat. I'll get the lyrics and hopefully recordings. but I also understand if this is not a choice. I'm bringing them anyway :0)
I think that would be very cute to do. I actually have a recording of the Teddy Bears Picnic on a CD. It has some kids voices singing the song, but I think it would work. I have it in my car now so I will be sure and bring it.
I have a Tape of it by Jery Garcia, Sharon I think you actually got it for me when I had Parker. I can bring it also.
cool! I have one too, lol we can have all versions. wow, jerry garcia, huh? that should be interesting. :0)
i want a copy, can i copy it?
